Queensland 2d. specimen handstamps

Kenneth Scudder in his book "Queensland Postage Stamps 1879 to 1912", lists a number of specimen handstamps found on this issue. They are:

• Type 1. Capitals sans-serif, 21 mm x 2.5 mm. Known in black, diagonally up from left to right.  Scudder notes that the these examples would have been handstamped after November 1880
• Type 2. Roman capitals, 23.5 mm x 3.25 mm. Known in black, diagonally up from left to right and diagonally down from left to right. It was introduced in mid to late 1880. 
• A manuscript cancellation with the word S / 1880 is known on an imperforate proof

These handstamps are mostly seen bright blue examples. Type 2 is less common
